UPDATED AUGUST 18, 2023
We are heart broken by the fires and loss of life in Lahaina/West Maui.
The Town of Lahaina has been devastated and the Harbor is closed. Expeditions Ferry lost their Lahaina Office and Warehouse in the fire and many of their staff lost their homes
Expeditions Ferry is moving their operations to Maaleaa Harbor and are currently (8/18/23) running a limited number of trips each week for first responders, emergency personnel and stranded residents. They are working towards a return to a “normal” schedule.

Lahaina Harbor Parking
There are several lots within walking distance to Lahaina Harbor. We suggest spending the $5-$10 to park your car in a lot with all day parking if you plan on enjoying one of the many tours available that depart here. While there are a number of free parking spots available, they fill up fast and most are limited to somewhere between half an hour and 2 hours.
Lahaina Center, Whaler’s Village and Wharf Cinema Center offer free parking with validation, usually in the form of purchasing something from one of the surrounding businesses.
Available lots are located in several places in Lahaina Town, including:
- Dickenson Street between Wainee and Luakini
- Front Street between Papalaua and Lahainaluna
- Luakini Street near the intersection of Lahainaluna Road and another near the intersection of Prison Street
- Lahainaluna Road between Wainee and Front Street
- 505 Front Street Shopping Center underground lot
We have booked a Lost on Lanai tour. Do we need to get tickets at booth before getting on yet ferry?
Hi Pete – Many thanks for your Booking & Question. Yes you need to pick up up your tickets at the Expeditions Ticket Booth before boarding the Ferry. Picking up the tickets is like will call – give the attendant your names and have your ID available and they will give you your RT Tickets. Note: We are finalizing your reservations and will send you another email tomorrow with you confirmations and additional information. Mahalo, Brad/Lost on Lanai
I am coming into Maui on the Princess Cruise.. then I want to take the ferry to Lanai to see the Cat Sanctuary. How far am I from the Expeditions Ticket Booth from where the Princess Cruise ship docks? I assume that the Ticket Booth is near where the Ferries leave.
Aloha, Thank you for your question. The Princess Cruise ship should anchor off of Lahaina with passengers tendering in. The tender’s arrive just on the other side of the main pier adjacent to the the Expedition’s ticket booth location and the pier that the ferry departs from. Please double check your itinerary to confirm that Lahaina is a tender port call. Mahalo, Brad/Lost on Lāna‘i
Hello. We will be spending a few days on Lanai. Is there long term parking?
Aloha,
Thank you for your question. Note: Expeditions Ferry now operates from Maalaea Harbor.
Parking in the Harbor is managed by Secure Parking 1-808-517-1311. Please contact them directly to see if they can accommodate multi-day parking or have alternate suggestions. Their pay to park machines onsite only allow 24hr booking.
An alternative to parking might be to Cab or Uber to the Harbor.
Mahalo!
