Lanai Cat Sanctuary welcomes visitors and volunteers alike to its cage free outdoor cat enclosure or “Cat Sanctuary”. A safe haven and adoption center for more than 500 happy cats.

Fabulous day on Lana’i: This is an excellent way to experience Lana’i for the day. We took the ferry from Lahaina, were met at the Lana’i ferry terminal, driven to the cat sanctuary (which is one of the most wonderful places on earth!), were picked up from the sanctuary, driven to Lana’i City (where we had lunch at Blue Ginger and visited Mike Carroll’s gallery and other shops), picked up from there to catch the ferry.
The drivers were prompt and very professional. The owner met us on arrival, gave us a Lost on Lana’i shopping bag and cold bottles of water, and introduced us to our driver. The cost of the package was basically the same as if you did it on your own, but you didn’t have to worry about getting someone to take you from place to place. A reliable way to get around on Lana’i and truly a bargain!
We have visited Lana’i for the day in the past, but going through Lost on Lana’i made the entire day so much easier…we just had to enjoy the cats and the city!!

We did this trip and it worked really well. We also added the trip to the city also. Lost in Lanaii gave great instructions and it worked beautifully. It is worth it to go to the city the first time you go to see the museum and look at the shops. Next time we go back, I want to spend all day at the sanctuary.
