Q. Why offer a Fifth Friday Lāna‘i Package?
A. The idea was to make it as easy as possible for a resident or visitor to Maui to participate in a Fifth Friday Lāna‘i Event by providing a convenient “one click” booking option rather than asking a visitor to figure out how to do it themselves all “a la carte”.
Q. Where can I book the Fifth Friday Package?
A. It can be booked on www.lostonlanai.com. Lost on Lāna‘i is a Lāna‘i based activity desk whose principals are active volunteers with the Chamber. Lost on Lāna‘i is contributing their website, services and coordination in support of Fifth Friday Lāna‘i as part of their volunteer efforts and to gain recognition for their company as a supporter of the Chamber.
How can I register and pre-pay the Fifth Friday Town Party Oct.30th? We will be visiting Maui at that time so would like to sign up now. I have not located the Oct. 30th date on this website.
The Sept.6th San Francisco Chronicle, Travel Section mentioned this activity in an article.

How often does the ferry run back and forth to Maui? Are there just certain times with the 5th Friday tickets?
Aloha Mary,
From Lahaina, Maui the available departure times with the Fifth Friday Package are 9:15am, 12:45pm and 3:15pm and the only return from Lāna‘i included in the Fifth Friday Package is the late 9:45pm departure. The Fifth Friday Event starts in Lāna‘i City at approximately 5-5:30pm.
Hi, We are planning a trip to Maui Sept. 27 – October 6 2016 and was wondering if there will be a Fifth friday event during that time? Would love to visit the Island of Lanai. Thank you
Yes, there will be a Lāna‘i Fifth Friday on September 30. Online booking will open on or before September 1.
How often does the shuttle run between the harbor and Lanai City?
Short Answer: Rabaca’s Limousine Service operates the van transfer service, with frequency timed to coincide with ferry arrivals, from the harbor to town.
Detailed Answer:
Pulama Lāna‘i closed its transportation service effective March 31, 2016. Which means there is now just one company providing transportation for non-Four Seasons guests, Rabaca’s Limousine Service. This reduction may result in longer wait times for the Fifth Friday Shuttles and Transfers.
Rabaca’s Limousine Service operates a van pick up service, timed with each ferry arrival, from the Harbor to town and will also perform pick ups on an on call basis. Your package includes, Rabaca’s phone number, one voucher per person for transfer to Lāna‘i City and one voucher per person for transfer back to the Manele Small Boat Harbor. The per person a la carte cost of a one way transfer on Rabaca is $10 cash. One option if you want to visit the beach is to walk from the Harbor and then call Rabaca’s for pick up and utilize a voucher for the transfer to town.
What is a good time to use the ferry to come to Manele for the next Fifth Friday event, for a family of 4, with kids aged 7&9? If we come with 12:15 ferry, is there enough to do until the event?
Hi Baris,
Thank you for your inquiry! (& Booking)
If you only want to see Town and attend the Fifth Friday Event then coming over on the 3:15 ferry is your best option. However, if you are interested in adding on a visit to Hulopo‘e Beach or something like a visit to the Cat Sanctuary then an earlier departure from Lahaina would be best. Please contact us at [email protected] if you would like more information.
is there a senior rate? and what is the senior age?
Hi Jane
Many thanks for your question.
Unfortunately the event package does not offer a senior rate. If you are kama‘aina there are discounted ferry tickets which are only available directly from Expeditions. Their local number is 808-661-3756.
When will the reservation for the August 31 ferry + town party package be available?
Aloha,
Thank you for your inquiry! We are still waiting on information about the August Fifth Friday. We will post an update as soon as we receive an update but unfortunately we do not expect to offer a package with transfers for the event.
Also Expeditions Ferry will be posting updated info on their front page at go-lanai.com.
