Your Lanai Bike Ride is all Downhill from Here!

The phrase “it is all downhill from here” is not something that you enjoy hearing while celebrating birthday’s ending in zero and it is certainly something that you never want to hear from your doctor.

When on a bike, however, hearing that it is all downhill from here is actually a good thing! As I learned while riding down two of Lāna‘i’s three hills with Jeremiah Littlepage, owner of Lanai Cycles. We are proud to make activities with Lanai Cycles available on our website.

Jeremiah started our first familiarization ride just outside of Lanai City where the Keomoku road starts downhill for about seven miles to Kaiolohia or “Shipwreck” Beach. Before each ride Jeremiah conducts a quick but thorough safety briefing and orientation, making sure that all of your questions are answered, before checking that the height of each bike’s seat is matched to its rider.

Question: How much experience do I need for this ride?

In my case at least the saying that “You will never forget how to ride a bike” proved true.

Answer: You do NOT need to be a professional you just need to be comfortable on a bike and should have ridden one within the last year.
